Collectief Publiek Geluid

Sun 11 Oct 2020 - 09:00 to Tue 21 Dec 2021 - 17:00
Atelier Lucas Pellens, Spoorwegstraat 32, 3900 Pelt

Collectief Publiek Geluid is a group of young creatives, musicians and sound artists who focus on musical creations with relation to the public space. Collectief Publiek Geluid responds to architecture and environment (urban & non-urban) and explores its artistic possibilities. Over the years, they have been working on a ‘repertoire' or ‘canon' with feasible work (read: city tunes, composed soundscapes, walks, ...) for the public space. During a residency in the Atelier of artist Lucas Pellens, they will work on an experimental audio-visual installation in which breath, electronics, painting, gargling and field recordings from the lockdown period are linked together. An investigation into the origin of sound, in which collaboration is central. During their processes, various moments of public exposure are organized.

Collectief Publiek Geluid are: Lukas De Clerck, Sebastian Dingens, Anne Van de Star, Joost Van Duppen, Eveline Vervliet

In collaboration with Musica, Impulse Centre for Music and C-TAKT

This installation is part of the 3-day Expo-route from 23.10-25.10 at various locations in and around Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof, the Canal Zone and Gemeente Pelt.
