Deep in the heart of the Amazon, Tauari inhabitants invite us to listen to the sounds of the jungle, the birds, and animals. However, some weird sounds appear: a creature prowling around the trees. Some of them have heard her, very few have ever seen her, and those who did find her never came back. She charms, she enchants, she leads people to lose their way: each one of them tells a story in their own way and tries to decipher her sounds. Curupira, creature of the woods… takes us in search of this being: a reflection about myths and their place in the contemporary world. It’s a sound thriller in the midst of the jungle.

Félix Blume (FR) is a sound artist and sound engineer who works and lives in Mexico and France. His work focuses on listening and uses sound as the basic material for compositions, videos, actions and installations. His process is often collaborative, with different communities, with the public space as context. Blume's sound work is broadcasted and exhibited worldwide such as in Center Pompidou and Musée d´Orsay, Tsonami Arte Sonoro Chile, CTM Berlin, etc. His latest video work Curupira, creature of the woods was awarded the soundscape prize. Los Gritos de México was honored with the Pierre Schaeffer prize, Phonurgia Nova Awards.
