Partition
Méryll Ampe approaches sound as a tangible medium to mould and shape, live and in real time. Using analogue devices (oscillators and drum machines) she builds a dense sound matter that you can almost physically touch; sharp and extremely raw. In her live performance she confronts this tangibility head-on, allowing herself to be guided by the surrounding space and her own body. As a result, the audience becomes equally affected by the purely physical impact of sound.
During OORtreders you can visit Ampe's installation 'Partition' in the exhibition at CC Palethe.
