Trigger Tribe (2018)
In this new project, the composer Patrick Housen and visual artist Marie van Vollenhoven explore the digital connections between image and sound: a new form of live composition, interpreted on stage by the BL!NDMAN percussionists. They perform with four set-ups that each sound totally different (glass, wood, metal and skin); between beats, sound and memory, certain images continue to vibrate. An immersive experience for the retina: slipping between all the lines, Trigger Tribe touches the depths of our being.
Patrick Housen is a composer and sound artist born in Genk. He obtained a master’s degree in visual arts, followed by a European Postgraduate in Arts in Sound (EPAS) at the KASK in Ghent. He makes installations, performances and field recordings for various music educational projects, such as Musica Futurista with Matrix and the Logos Foundation, and works as a composer with live electronics.
